7-17-10   Hamburg, NY---In the $9,000 Open Handicap Pace, Low And Right, a four-year-old bay horse by Pro Bono Best, out of the Kassa Branca mare Hosel Rocket, received a perfect pocket trip, then exploded in the passing lane, to win in a lifetime best, 1:55.3, for owners Ted Cupp, and Robert Pawlak, here at Buffalo Raceway Saturday night (July 17).

Capably driven by reinsman Ray Fisher, Jr., Low And Right ($33.20), the longest shot on the board at 15-1, left hard from post one, and hit the quarter-pole, with the lead in :28.3. Fisher let eventual third place finisher Nifty Prescott (Ken Holliday) cut the rest of the fractions, :58 to the half, and 1:27.2 to the three-quarters. A :28 last quarter-mile put the winner 1-1/2 lengths ahead of last weeks Open winner Michael Scores (Tom Agosti) at the finish line.

Trained by Jim Graham, it was the second win of the year for Low And Right, and the $4,500 winner’s share, put his season’s bankroll at $12,830 and $46,589 lifetime.
